If you are in the market for a new vehicle you have an option as to where you buy the vehicle from. You can go to a garage to buy a vehicle, either a main dealer if you are looking for something a little newer or you can go to an independent dealer if you want to buy from a garage but maybe have a smaller budget or want a wider choice of makes and models.
Auctions can be a great place to pick up a bargain but also come with quite a high risk. You may end up buying a car that needs quite a bit of work doing to it and without having the option to drive it first you may well have to just go on what you can see as it goes through the auction.
Many people chose to sell their cars privately and if you are a buyer then you can get a decent car without having to pay garage prices. You will not get any warranty but the car should still be fit for purpose. If it have no MOT then it may be sold as spares or repairs.
