Buying tyres can feel like a bit of a mine filed. You have three different ranges of tyres from budget to top end and also part worns to consider. Each tyre is often given three different ratings; one for road noise, one for fuel efficiency and another for wet grip. These are usually labelled in the form of a letter. The closer to the start of the alphabet the better that particular tyre is in that area. You may find that if you are choosing a mid range or budget tyre you have to sacrifice one for another, so in order to get better grip you may have to put up with less fuel efficiency.
Always shop around for tyre prices and compare from at least three different retailer, as you may be able to get a bulk discount if buying more than one or find some on special offer.
